1.01 DESCRIPTION:

• MARBALEX is a daily use pH7 balanced stone cleaner designed to safely clean all porous stone surfaces without harming the stone's natural crystalline structure. MARBALEX is a natural formulation with precise activity levels designed to maintain all domestic and imported marble, granite, terrazzo, agglomerate, slate, terra cotta, limestone, and all other natural stone surfaces without leaving a residue.

1.02 SUMMARY:

• MARBALEX will gently preserve the elegance of natural stone without hurting the environment. It is a user friendly product that will not react to the natural minerals of stone, yet it will thoroughly clean the porous surface of stone. MARBALEX's rinse free formula will not dull, etch, corrode, or scratch any stone texture. It is ideal for both interior and exterior use. It can be used in an automatic scrubber, pressure washer, or used with a sponge or mop. It is perfect for installation clean up. MARBALEX is UL Classified for Slip Resistance.

3.03 BENEFITS:

• Provides residue free cleaning that will dissolve ice melt and salt crystals in winter.
• Will remove organic, biological, and inorganic soils that harm stone surfaces.

3.04 SUBMITTALS:

3.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE:

• Always test a small area before using to assure compatibility.

• Test Area: Apply a the penetrating sealer to a small area at the project site in accordance to the manufacturers directions of the bottle label. Be sure to record all the test results including coverage and stain prevention.

3.06 PRODUCT WARRANTY:

• SCI guarantees complete satisfaction of its products. If not completely satisfied with the performance of the product, when used as directed and the surface has been tested first, contact Stone Care International, Inc. for a refund of the purchase price or a replacement by another SCI product. Determining the suitability of the product for any intended purpose shall be solely the responsibility of the user. There are no warranties, express or implied, including those of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose which extend beyond the description on the product label.

3.07 HANDLING:

• Have MSDS sheets accessible at all times.

• Product must be delivered undamaged and in the original containers with labels intact and legible.

3.08 RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Always test on a small area before using.
• Natural stone should be protected with STONE SPRAY-N-SEAL.
• Follow the recommended SCI maintenance procedures for MARBALEX.

3.09 FIRST AID:

• Keep all chemicals out of the reach of children.
• May cause gastrointestinal, eye or skin irritation. Do not drink and avoid eye and skin contact.
• If eye contact is made, rinse with water for 15 minutes and call a physician if symptoms continue.
• If swallowed, drink 2-3 glasses of water and call a physician immediately.
• For emergencies, call 1-800-535-5053.

PART IV- Product Procedures:

4.01 PREPARING THE SURFACE:

1. Be sure that the surface is free from loose debris and sediment.
2. Dust mop all stone floors daily to keep abrasive debris off of the surface.

4.02 WET MOPPING:

1. Use two ounces of MARBALEX to one gallon of warm or cold water.
2. Use clean Rayon Mops or clean Sponge Mops.
3. Change the mop solution every 1,000 to 2,000 square feet.

4.03 AUTOMATIC SCRUBBING:

1. Use two ounces of MARBALEX to one gallon of warm or cold water.
2. Use clean STONEGLIDE ALPHA Brushes.
3. Rough surface stone should be scrubbed with a STONEGLIDE BETA Brush.

4.04 HIGH PRESSURE WASHING:

1. Use four ounces of MARBALEX to one gallon of warm or cold water.

4.05 INTENSIVE CLEANING:

1. Use six to eight ounces of MARBALEX to one gallon of warm water and follow proper application procedures.

4.06 SPONGE CLEANING: (Removing thin set residue):

1. Dilute two to four ounces of MARBALEX to one gallon of warm water.
2. Apply solution to the surface and let it set for two minutes.
3. Wipe
